Willing to meet up

Hi Explorers,

I'm hoping to connect with others who would like to do some Melbourne based bushwalking/hiking. I'm up for anything - day trips, weekend trips and longer trips.

I'd especially like to walk the southern circuit at Wilson's Promontory National Park taking perhaps 2-4 days with lots of beach swimming if it's hot enough, within the next month to catch the spring flowers, and/or later as well as it'll only get warmer for more swimming, and the Prom is always stunning.

Interested?  Great!  Adventures await.

Hi there,

I've been thinking of getting back into bushwalking for a while now & was considering doing a couple of hikes with Melbourne Bushwalkers, as they have day hikes most Sundays... you just pay a fee for the bus they arrange.

Right now, I'm incredibly unfit & imagine the first few hikes I do I will be fairly slow. But as I've just signed up with a friend (who lives in another state) to hike Hinchinbrook Island next June, I do have to get my act together & start bushwalking again.

The Prom is an awesome place for hiking. I've done several overnight trips & a couple of 3-day loops (a long time ago). Anyhow, I would be interested in doing some hikes with you and any other Explorer Girl that might be interested, but perhaps day hikes to begin with.

Cheers,

Karen

Hi Karen,

Sorry for the delay in responding.    It would be great to do some day walks. I may be able to recruit a couple of friends as well. I work part-time so am available on some weekdays and weekends and I could possibly borrow a car too.

If you're still keen on a day walk I could do any day from the 23rd to 29 November except Tuesday the 25th. I guess we could go anywhere; of course it also depends on how far you have to travel. How about somewhere near Eltham?

Ciao, Cat
